Star Wars Battling Quads
Air Hogs’s Millennium Falcon drone was pretty cool, and now there are four more Star Wars quadcopters! Propel RC has developed a line of Star Wars “Battling Quad” UAVs that lets kids young and old take control of iconic Star Wars vehicles in dogfights against other pilots. There are four new official Star Wars drones for sale; the X-Wing rebel ship, Darth Vader’s TIE fighter, Millennium Falcon and 74-Z speeder bike. These new gaming drones are a great holiday gift for older kids and make the list of top Christmas toys for 2016. With Flight mode for beginners, each of the battle quads comes in a presentation case with built-in speakers which play the Star Wars theme song upon opening.
The hottest toys of 2016 will be toy drones, and there are many new models and types of drones to buy already. Drones for kids are often designed for older children and adult supervision is often advised. Drone gaming and drone racing are emerging as the next big thing!
The new Star Wars quadcopters fire lasers and are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs. The battling quads can hit speeds up to 40 MPH and have laser tag capabilities for play dogfighting. The propeller placement is clear and underneath which enables “push-button aerial 360 stunts”.
The flying fighters ship this September, with each quadcopter expected to cost between $200 and $300 and only 10,000-15,000 units per model will be produced. Pre-order the “special edition” drones from Propel’s website for shipping by the end of the year – just in times for the holidays!
